EDUCATION
Ph.D., Structural Engineering, 2011
M. Sc., Structural Engineering, 2006
B. Sc., Civil Engineering, 2004

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Enrique Martinez Romero, SA, Internship, 2006
Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Analyzed computer models of earthquake-resistant multi-story buildings and parking structures. Using SAP2000®, ETABS ® and RAM Steel® software.
§ Designed civil infrastructure based on regional design code specifications.
§ Completed the analysis, design and supervised the completion of design drawings of a steel building facility of approximately 5000m2 (54000ft2) within a time record of two weeks. Under Project Engineer Armando Merida advice.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSE
Engineer-In-Training (EIT),  2011

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Assisted execution of laboratory tests on carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) specimens.
§ Applied Finite Element Methods to simulate structural response of bridges, multi-story buildings, and facilities due to hazardous scenarios such as earthquakes. Using SAP2000®, OpenSees® and ANSYS® software.
§ Coordinated interdisciplinary teams in execution of field testing of Caltrans bridges for Structural Health Monitoring and damage detection.
§ Coordinated the execution of laboratory tests on fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) plywood walls in collaboration with Fyfe Co. personnel.
§ Applied System Identification techniques to identify dynamic characteristics of structures using field data.
Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Developed sophisticated computer models to analyze historical structures and simulate their response due to earthquakes. Using SAP2000® and ANSYS® software.
§ Contributed to build an old church scale model to be tested on a shaking table.
